The Mora Robust Pro is a new for 2015 design based off the old Robust. The knife makes no sense to me compared to other Moras. There is nothing wrong with it, but it is as thick and expensive as the Heavy Duty Companion from Mora and do not offer anything more then the HD can. If you are interested in a polymer handled Mora go with the HD or Basic 511 both are much better options in my opinion.

The Link comes in two handle options and two blade options, making it a great budget knife made here in the USA. One of the best features is the continuous sweep in the blade makes it a slicing machine. You will not be sorry with this blade riding in your pocket.

This knife is the best all around knife there is, nothin' beats it!
As far as batoning, you hit the batton on the handle side, it's different, but will work way better than hitting the sharpened top. Takes about a minute of practice, then easy.
You can also purchase the non-sharpened top version, also a serrated version.
You can even use the pinky grip, see mfg home page, for real close up work if needed. I personally carry a smaller EDC knife for small work, so this is my BRUTE FORCE KNIFE, although it will handle most of the fine stuff to with my large hands.

The Gekko 1510 is a smaller knife designed to be that companion blade for backpacking, camping, or hiking. It is made in Italy out of premium materials, and has the lines of a work of art. This blade would be a great addition to your collection and will get the job done.

An excellent alternative to Izulas and Beckers for those who want something more.

Very light and concealable. Excellent kydex sheath, I do not own any with the new plastic sheath.

Fit and finish is perfec, and so is the sharpness of the edge.

This knife is very uncomfortable for heavy cutting, but more so than its alternatives.

Ir fits well in the hand and I advise to wrap in cord the bottom portion of the knife.

Great for hikers and mountain climbers do to the quality you get for the weight.

Also great EDC (whenever legal) for people like me who dont like folding knives very much.

It is basically a thicker, skeletonized,stouter CR Sebenza.

I would recommend even for the retail price, even though it is always nicer to buy for cheaper.

Great fit and finish, but less thought behind it than the Pacific.

Great size for an EDC knife in the military. Comfortable and safe for stabbing and heavy cutting.

Serrations are easily sharpenable.

Surprisingly comfortable, I would rate higher if the tang was not exposed over the scales.

It fits the Spec-Ops sheath nicely in both orientations, something excellent when allternating between belt/leg carry and vest carry, and also for left handed users.

The smaller size feels like an improvement, it may be less fragile than the 7 inch Green Beret. It is also lighter and more useable.

The unsharpened back edge is acute and great for opening boxes without wearing out the edge.

Of all four medium sized CR knives, it is probably the most utilitarian along the Neil Roberts Warrior.

Would recommend to soldiers that like knives and want something more, but only for a discount price. I bought mine for cheaper than retail, I cannot justify spending 350$ on a knife, or using it afterwards.

Excellent (perfect) fint and finish and sharpness.

Over the top serration design.

Military knife, not the most useful for anything else.

Great value if you buy it for cheaper or second hand. I cannot use 350$ knives.

Brittleness tests and point accuteness suggests a somewhat fragile tip.

Good alternative to the Green Beret, this is a more traditional military knife.

I carry this knive almost every day because it is very light weight and almost disappears in your pocket. I own a number of folders but this one gets by far the most pocket time. US produced, very ergonomic, excellent build quality, great blade shapes available and overall very solid price-value relation.

The New redesigned Mora Basic 511 is a high value, high performing knife. The cost is what sets it apart at $13 you are getting a good High Carbon Steel blade, doable plastic sheath, and good handle. I can think of a better way to spend $13!

I recently came across this company at Overland Expo and was instantly intrigued. The owner was there explaining the knife and doing demos. It feels really great in the hand and somehow allows you to have great control of such a heavy knife. Like most field grade work horses this is a wonderful blade to use daily and I love mine plus it's made in the USA!

The VG-1 San Mai III seems to be a point of contest, but very little actual facts are available on the internet. I find that this knife is definately in the $250-$350 mark in terms of quality, collectability, and utility.
The quality is outstanding, and the blade is very useful because of the size and type of general purpose configuration. San Mai III is becoming very scarce as the productionin Japan is dwindling. Other cost friendly alternatives are being marketed byCS to fill this gap.

Certainly, there are other options in this price range, but please do not over look this knife. Customer support in the USA is very responsive, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. This knife is rare, and specialized. It's worth the investment, provided you are confident in the VG-1 San Mai III steel. There are other quality knives in this catagory such as the Chris Reeves line up.

The Simu San Mai III is out of production, and replaced with a cost effective version. Originals may be a good investment, and useable in between.
