Comments:
I love my RAT-3. 3.5" powder coated blade with a 4 inch micarta handle. Flat grind, which improves blade strenght. Made of 1095 steel, it's not especially rust proff, but a quick hit of WD-40 on the blade edge is a good method of protection. The micarta slab handle is a both durable and weather resistant. I use mine as a compliment to my ESEE Junglas on backpacking trips as a small skinner/carver, and it has yet to fail me. The reason I gave it a 9 in build quality is the fact that the powder coat on the blade gets rubbed off a little to easily. Nice blade for the price. Mine is serrated, so I think that added about 3 dollars on Knifecenter. The serrations are great and take up very little of the blade, but still enough to be usfull when it comes to cutting flexible materials. Again, great knife for the money.
