Comments:
The blade is nice, however Tops fail to deliver a consistant model of the blade. The blade does not spark flint well, it is "supposed to be 1095 High carbon steel with a rc around 55-58. After attempting to strike a regular flint of a fire steel, the back of the blade started to wear prematuraley as almost the flint was stronger than the blade. The Stryker defender tool has many variations of model, again no consistancy. Type of Serrations varies, serration location varies, labeling varies, the blood grove varies. There reply is that "no two knives are the same." Of course no two knives are the same, however I am looking for proffessional consistancy in blade models, if they fail to deliver such, why have a blade model to begin with.
