I don't typically write reviews on things but I figure I would. Today I actually broke my blur. I bought it as a second blem knife years back because I tend to be hard on my knives. It feels great in my hand, and the assisted opening is quicker than most knives i have dealt with. But I guess after many long years of torture it finally crapped out. The tip broke off and shortly after the belt clip broke. So I now am retiring it to the tackle box. Will I buy another one? Yes. This has been the best american made assisted open knife I have owned and has endured over 4 years of brutal beating. Thanks Kershaw!

So, I like neck knives as defensive implements, and i find this one to be a Cadillac among Fords. very easy to draw, and easy to hold in a defensive grip. the blade puts a lot of cutting pressure down, and lets you get nice cuts for such a short blade.

i don't like finger loop knives for tool type use. so this eval is only as a hold out/defensive.

This is a great knife, sharp, sharp, sharp out of the box and the flat grind only takes a few passes on a stone to bring it back. I treated mine with marine grade "Tuff Cloth" and have not had any rust issues even in a very wet tactical environment. My biggest complaint was with the flat micarta scales which did not feel very ergonomic to me, I replaced them with some TKC G-10 scales and that greatly improved the comfort level, filling the hand nicely with out the hot spots. Highly recommend this knife, large but not unwieldy.

I have this knife, and I have to say, it does not feel as big as it is, it is a superbly designed knife with amazing ergonomics and is well worth the price

Solid Knife. Friend purchased me the knife as a gift, loved it when I got it. As an everyday carry I'm not sure if the spring bar is wearing out or if it is becoming misaligned. The spring doesn't fully open the knife anymore and because the thumb stud is the safety you find yourself putting extra "oomph" into the opening flick. There has been more than one instance where I found myself very nearly cut on my thumb upon opening only to be saved by my thumb's callous.

I purchased this knife at Sportsmans Warehouse. The price was the same as the on-line places. The knife appeals to me because it fits in my hand (size large), the handle is not slick, it is light, and I can open the blade with one hand.

Very impressed with this knife. I have more expensive and prestige knives but for I've paid for it - just great knife. I am using it daily as EDC knife - cutting boxes, wrap, cords, etc. Very comfortable despite it's stainless steel only, has very good grip especially with gloves. It's a bit on a hefty side but I really like that fact, it is not too heavy.
Holds edge like a champ - it's my first Austrian N690 blade, I really like it. After a month still needs no sharpening. I like it more than my Delica 4 with ZDP-189, that blade got dull pretty quick and couldn't make as sharp as I want ever.

Bought this knife from a local shop here in Birmingham. Payed too much for it...$170.00...oops, but whatever. First spyderco, first vg 10, great knife. Not really a "utilitarian" bade shape but its very sharp out of the box and could serve as a great "sticker". Over all very pleased with my new off day carry knife.Oh yeah the vg 10 and Brown g10 make for a very sexy knife.

Got this knife new at a great price from a fairly well known private Kershaw dealer. Normally this knife is north of $200 and I probably would not have bought it. But I am glad I got it. It is a great knife.

Size and weight: For it's size the 560 is remarkably light. It breaks from the ZT tradition of being big and heavy and is just big - 3.75: blade, 5" closed. Milled titanium (frame lock side) and G-10 scales and Elmax steel keep the weight down to 5.8oz. (My ZT0200 is 7.8oz)

Fit and finish: Just about perfect for me. Blade is centered, no play, great finish on the titanium The lock is good - I am looking at about 50% engagement of the locking surface right now. Deep carry pocket clip. Lanyard hole. Fits my had well and has some well placed jimping. Feels solid despite the lightish weight. The edge was typical for ZT. More on that later.

Flipper mechanism: Easy deployment with flipper (unassisted) or thumbstud. I don't normally use thumbstuds to open my knives because they just don't work well. They either need a great deal of "technique" or tear up my thumb or both. The 560 has plenty of room to get a good thumb hold and flip. Just keep your fingers from pressing on the lock side as you deploy and the blade swings out gracefully with flipper or thumbstud. Deployment was a little sticky when brand new but it has broken in beautifully.

Blade: I sharpened this knife a few weeks ago. For whatever reason, ZT's do not ship with well finished edges. They are ok, just not super sharp. My guess is they leave it up to the buyer to make the edge they want. The 560 had a pretty steep angle so I took some time and brought down to about 18-20 degrees. Got it nice and sharp. Took about an hour on my Gatco. The steel seems good. This is my only Elmax blade and it seems light (7,600 kg/cubic meter vs 7,473 for S30V) for it's size.

Highly rec this knife if you are in the market for a large folder.

This is a knife for real men. People that don't like it are pussies. This knife states exactly what the company claims "Zero Tolerance". This thing is built like a tank. No matter how hard you try you will not be able to produce blade play. Yes it tears up your hands and fingers. But hey that's the nature of the beast. This thing will never fail you.

The thumb screw makes for easy one-handed opening--and with practice I could even close it with one hand. Blade is fairly easy to sharpen. Nice size for carrying in my pocket. The main hinge screw always seemed to loosen up.

I was given one of these years ago. I've batoned mine and carved and done all sorts of abusive things that this knife is not intended for, only to have this knife hold up. If this didn't have the saw back on it I would use it as a go to survival knife more often. Its very light weight and has had great edge retention. It does a decent chop if you relax your grip as well. Pretty good blade for camp chores and general use. I don't think its heavy duty enough for hard use over long term.

I use this knife to skin deer and other game. Fits your hand well and the blade when taking care of makes for quick work of processing task. I have yet to run across a skinning application where this knife does not excel. Very sharp and well made Buck hit a home run with this one. The belly in this knife is what makes it awesome at skinning. If you hunt and process your meat this is a great blade to add to your collection.
