Comments:
This is one of those knives that is looked upon very favorably in Kershaw history. It is now discontinued but it as a stellar blade. The ergonomics are great, the steel is decent, and the build quality is top notch. I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, but I recall that it was quite reasonable. Sadly these can't be had, but Kershaw currently offers the Blur which is very similar, if not an evolution of the Avalanche, and it is equally well regarded.
