I love this folder! it has great ergonomics and is built like a tank. If your looking for a less expensive alternative to the zt line from kershaw, this knife could be a good buy. Its really built to be a cut above many other knives in its price range. I really like the flipper action. The knife came to me from the factory with such a smooth pivot action it was great! I also really like the composite blade with the d2 tool steel. It really provides a nice cutting edge without being as prone to corrosion as a fully d2 blade. It's slightly large to be used for anything like edc but if you need a good general use outdoor knife or a companion to a larger fixed blade this knife wont let you down.

This is another great Kershaw,it is my new EDC. It's outstanding in quality for the price asked.Very sharp and pointy, makes you feel safe in bad neighborhoods. The steel is Sandvik 14C28N which is a very good stainless steel. It holds an edge well, and is easy to sharpen back to its razor like edge. It's a frame lock,in where one side of the handle is also the lock.Like a liner lock, only stronger. It has trac-tec inserts which aid in griping. It's just the right size, not too big or small. All in all just a great knife.

This is an awesome little fixed blade. Very light and very compact, but don't be fooled by it's size. This thing will hang with the best of them. This knife can be used very hard, and can serve many functions. This knife is capable of being used as an every day carry knife all the way to light batoning projects. I find it's most comfortable with a little paracord wrapped around the handle. There are tutorials online that demonstrate smart ways to wrap it. For 60 bucks or so, this knife means business. Also, it should be noted that RAT has awesome customer support and WILL cover you should this knife fail you. I wouldn't worry about that happening though...

This is a great entry level knife and is the Benchmade version of the Spyderco Tenacious. The knife uses similar steel, is at the same pricepoint, and is similar in shape and size. The full flat grind makes it a good slicer, and it is easy to open. G10 scales provide good grip. It has a functional liner lock, just like the Tenacious. The knife isn't light, nor is it heavy. The blade is also a fine size for EDC. Overall, great knife for a great price, but I'd still give my nod to the Tenacious (although I know people who'd disagree). The Tenacious liner lock feels a little more solid than the BM Vex. You can't go wrong with either knife.

This is a very solid, sturdy knife. Assisted opening on the axis lock is an awesome system. Opens very fast with a definite thud. Extremely well made & just a beautiful knife. I use it for EDC and you do notice its bulk but its certainly not uncomfortable in any way. Very sharp blade, haven't had it long enough to comment on edge holding yet, but 154CM is known for holding a good edge. Awesome knife!!

It's an ok knife. For the price it's pretty good. I don't remember what I paid for it exactly but it wasn't too much. It was sharp when I got it and I don't have to sharpen it too often. When I do I just use a whetstone.

I don't really like the skeletonized handle. It doesn't provide the best grip overall and I'd have prefered a material with better grip. It works though.

It's easy to flip open with one hand using the thumb stud, and it's easy to close as well. I've had no real problems with this knife.

This is a weird one to review. As time goes on, it's value rating should go down & that's because as time goes on, its value should & does continue going up, which decreases its value.

It's getting to be too expensive of a knife to use on a regular basis.

It is comfortable in the hand & it's narrow top & blue color blends in nicely in the pocket. In fact, many people think it's a tool or something (Not a knife).

The compression lock is very strong & ambidextrous, however, they do seem to wear quicker than other locks.

The handle's 5", which is nice & comfortable & lends itself to self defense W/O opening the blade. However, the sharp Wharncliffe blade is great for cutting, but it is on the short side (Less than 3").

I really like this knife & mine has a wave modded on the blade, but as time goes on, better choices (& less expensive) are being made.

Still, if you can find a good deal for one, it's worth picking up.

Got an Umnumzaan & it ended up replacing my large Classic CGG Sebenza, which I didn't think would ever happen.

1st impression of the knife is that it's top quality, just like the Sebenzas (I've had 6 different ones). It feels great in the hand, is light for its size & just feels "right."

Upon opening/closing it, the 1st thing I noticed is that it seems silent & so smooth.

The blade shape should make any "tacticool" fan happy & the design on the Ti scales are just right for grip. I had to have a G-10 scale made for my lg. Seb to make me happy. The Umnum doesn't need anything, IMHO.

The biggest problem with the knife is that it pretty much makes you not want to carry any other similar size folder.

At 1st glance, they seem expensive, but you can get them on the secondary market & considering that you probably won't need another folder, it'll save you $ in the long run.

Briliant. Excelent stainless steel quality. Very good resistance in time (I've put mine trough alot of stress in the last 8 years and still performes as new). Great features, especialy the wood saw that is quite efficient for even thicker branches. A trustfull companion for my hardcore climbing, trekking, caving and mountain biking adventures.

I'm happy with this knife. I thought the 8" would be a little overkill, and this one fits very well in my hand. The grip is good, the balance is good, and the sheath is good. The edge is not razor sharp out of the box, but that is also typical. Bottom line: good all-around knife for carrying and survival, if you want to play Rambo then go for the 8-incher.

A knife that deserves better that its quite "anonymous" status.
A good and solid design with steel handle and a strong framelock.
An original shape inspired by a Ken Onion custom knife.
Mine is the CMPS110V blade steel version and it came razor sharp out of the box.
I use it on a daily basis and only resharpen it from time to time.

This is an awsome knife, I have used it for hunting and just everyday use. The handle feeles great in your hand and G-10 handle gives you a slip free grip. The blade will not dull quickley, however they could of made the blade just a little bit longer. The handle looks almost to big for the knife compared to the blade, but thats no big problem. My favorite part about the knife is the pocket catcher, as you pull the knife out of your pocket the thumb stud catches the lip on your pocket and opens the blade for you. It works every time.
