I’ve been carrying my Microtech Ultratech daily for about a year. It’s one of the best OTFs I’ve ever owned. High-quality Elmax steel, excellent ergonomics and blade geometry. Great for general cutting daily use at work and at home. It’s quite expensive though. But I think it’s worth it.

I do like this knife. It’s cool and fun but to be completely honest I had it for three days and began having issues with the blade not fully firing and retracting. I attempted to fix it without taking it apart but had no luck whatsoever. The one I have is a black anodized drop point satin blade with plain edge really good looking but with the reliability issues and the price I paid for it to break that fast. I did contact Microtech and they responded within 24 hours and was able to get it out for repairs and it’s been about 3 weeks and it’s being shipped back to me.if anyone knows how to fix the issues I had without taking the knife apart in case me or someone else has this issue please comment on this

I love my ultratech and i bought it to be used and abused. In my profession, i'm cutting, slicing, and chopping with it daily and sharpening it monthly. It has held its edge well for what i put it through. I have the bayonet grind and it allows precision cutting with primary edge while saving the seecondary edge as backup. Ive played with other brand otf's and the ultratechs feel the most solid to me. I like that the thumb button takes a little more pressure to fire, as i have two daughters and i know they wouldnt be able to open it. Best knife ive ever owned and will buy another in the future.

I have owned and carried Ultratechs since 2006. I have had 3. I have never had any problems. They have all been carried extensively as last ditch defensive knives as both a private security contractor and, now, as a stay at home dad. They have never let me down. The build quality is excellent. I have three different steels( 154cm, s30v and Elmax) and all have been very sharp out of the box and held their edges well. I would not hesitate to recommend an Ultratech to anyone who needs this sort of knife.

150 words minimum.the ultratech is an awesome knife. It's well build with a great action. It's s30v blade holds an edge well and was reasonably sharp out of the box. The only issue I see is a slight play in the blade which is normal for otf knives. I recommend this knife highly. I can't stop playing with mine.
