Based on looks alone, this knife would be a 9.5 as it relates to a mass produced knife. It looks great! Overall, it is a quality made knife. However, handle is a little to small / narrow and short. If you have woman hands, then you may like it, but it needs a better handle. The handle's slip resistant material is good. The blade is not idea for stabbing (Ka-bar USMC knife is much better) and not idea for bushcraft / camping. It is only has a stick-tang, and nut holding tang to pommel can come loose and isn't easy to tight given unique tool needed. Overall, this knife looks nice for collector, but not the best knife for field.

The SOG TECH BOWIE is an upgrade to the original SOG BOWIE 2.0. It's Kraton handle give plenty of grip in wet conditions. The handle guard in partnership with the finger choil makes it easy to choke up on the blade for close up carving. The 0.24 inches thick spine, makes it very tough and good at batoning. The blade shape is ideal for wilderness and tactical use. It is a great fighting knife. The Kydex sheath is an overall good design, the AUS-8 is very good for a stainless steel and holds its edge about the same as ESEE or Ka-Bar 1095HC steel, the AUS-8 is just harder to resharpen. Overall, good for tactical, good for batoning, good for carving, but not good at chopping.
